?uestlove (Ahmir Khalib Thompson) is the drummer, producer and arranger for the Roots. His father was Lee Andrews of Lee Andrews & the Hearts (a 50s doo wop group.)
He attended the Philadelphia High School for Creative Performing Arts where he met Black Thought (Tariq Trotter) in 1987. He was a contemporary of Boyz II Men at Philadelphia High School.
