• February 18 - Henry Piquet, flying a Humber bi-plane, carried mail from Allahabad to Naini junction which was the first flight in India.
• The capital of India was moved from Calcutta to Delhi. A decision to build a residence for the Viceroy of India in Delhi was taken. See Rashtrapati Bhavan
