June 22 - As King George V is crowned in London a Sinn Féin meeting at the Customs House in Dublin condemns Irish participation in the coronation ceremonies.
August 18 - The Parliament Act removes the House of Lords's power regarding budgets and restricts their power over other bills to a two-year suspensive veto. This Act could make Home Rule a possibility in the future.
September 23 - 70,000 unionists and Orangemen march from Belfast to Craigavon House to protest against Home Rule.
