• September 10 - WWII: Canada declares war on Germany, two weeks after Britain does so
• September 16 - WWII: The Canadian Navy excorts the first of many transatlantic convoys
• September 28 - WWII: Air training facilities are set up in Canada to train pilots from Britain and the rest of the Commonwealth.
