1972 African Nations Cup - Definition and Overview

The 1972 African Nations Cup was the eigth edition of the African Nations Cup, the soccer championship of Africa (CAF). It was hosted by Cameroon. Just like in 1970, the field of eight teams was split into two groups of four. The Republic of Congo won its first championship, beating Mali in the final 3-2.
