Abra-Catastrophe was the first TV movie from the soon to be highly-popular show The Fairly OddParents. It first aired on July 12, 2003, and released on video three days later. Timmy Turner celebrates his 1-year anniversary with fairies, Cosmo and Wanda, during which he is given a magic muffin that grants the wish of anyone who takes a bite out of it. Because of this muffin, monkeys take over the world, and then Mr. Crocker does the same, over the course of the movie. Everything turns out O.K. in the end though. However, although this was generally considered to be a "good" installment, the episodes following it were stupid and unpopular with fans, so this is important in that it was the event where Fairly Oddparents is commonly belived to have jumped the shark.
About a year later, a second TV movie, Channel Chasers, was shown, and proved to be even more popular than the first film.
Abra-Catastrophe! is currently available on VHS and DVD.
