Addington is a major residential suburb of Christchurch, New Zealand. It is sited close to State Highway 73, Christchurch's ring road, 2500 metres southwest of the city centre.
As an inner city suburb, it has a mix of residential, retail and light industrial properties. The suburb is also close to many sports venues, notably to the north in south Hagley Park. It is also home to one of Christchurch's main horse-racing venues, Addington Park.
