Admiralty (MTR) - Definition and Overview

Admiralty station

Admiralty (traditional Chinese: 金鐘) station is an MTR station located in the Central area and Admiralty neighbourhood of Hong Kong Island. The station's livery is Blue. The station connects the Tsuen Wan line with Island Line.

The station is named after HMS Tamar, now known as Tamar Site, the headquarters of the Royal Navy in Hong Kong (although in fact it had never actually been the Admiralty) It was built on the former site of Hong Kong dockyards, which had been built in 1878, and demolished in the 1970s.
