Colloquial name for recruits in the Bundeswehr (German defense forces) during their basic training. AGA is the abbreviation for "Allgemeine Grundausbildung" (literal: general basic training). All recruits - conscripted and voluntary - are subject to this basic training disregarding their later specialisation.
