Air Philippines is an airline registered in the Philippines. It primarily focuses on the domestic low-cost market.
Air Philippines Corporation started operations on February 1, 1996, using B737-200 for flights between Subic, Iloilo, and Zamboanga. The airline has since expanded and now serves new domestic routes between Manila, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, Bacolod, Iloilo, Puerto Princesa, San Jose (Antique), and Tuguegarao.
It currently operates a fleet of 10 Boeing 737's. It also has a permit to fly to international destinations, and offers chartered services to Hong Kong, Guangzhou (China), and Kwangju (Korea).
On April 19, 2000, an Air Philippines Boeing 737-200 crashed near to Davao airport killing 131 people.
