Albert Einstein College of Medicine - Definition and Overview
The Albert Einstein College of Medicine is a medical school in Bronx, New York. It is part of Yeshiva University, and began classes on September 12, 1955. The first class, in 1955, had 56 students; the medical school currently admits about 180 students per year. There is also a graduate school, and a combined M.D./Ph.D. Medical Scientist Training Program. Combined with postgraduate students, enrollment (as of 2002) is more than 800.
