Alberto Delgado (born March 11, 1978 in Havana, Cuba), is a Cuban soccer player. He currently plays forward for the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer in 2004, having defected from Cuba during the 2002 Gold Cup. Before joining the Rapids, Delgado most recently played for Ciudad de la Habana of Cuba and, before his defection, was one of the most dangerous players on the Cuba national football team.
Delgado scored a goal and added three assists in his year with Colorado. He wears Perez on the back of his jersey to honor his mother.
