Alexander Hale Smith (1838–1909). The third surviving son of Joseph Smith Jr. and Emma Hale Smith. Alexander was born in Far West, Missouri, USA and eventually became a senior leader of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (now the "Community of Christ"). Alexander served as an apostle, a member of the First Presidency and as Presiding Patriarch of the church.
