Alexandre Bischof is a Brazilian musician with a classical background who has concentrated on "Ambient" electronic music, far from the Samba roots of his country. His "Dark Lounge" (Der Bischof and Nihil Project) has discovered far more sophisticated and sombre places than the Carnival, and has found considerable success in Europe, especially Germany.
