Ali Sina - Definition and Overview

Ali Sina is the pseudonym an Iranian Canadian Secular-Humanist ex-Muslim, who founded the website FaithFreedom.org. Faithfreedom.org is being promoted as a site created by ex-Muslims, to help Muslims leave Islam. Another site that opposes what Ali Sina espouses has been set up at FaithFreedom.com.

Ali Sina's real name is not publicly known. He claims that he keeps it secret to protect himself from being killed for expression of his beliefs.

Sina believes that "Islam is not a religion of love but a doctrine of hate" [1] (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sitaram/message/1295) and has in the past predicted that the religion will collapse within a generation from the inside, as more and more Muslims become disillusioned with Islam and leave the religion. His belief was that Islam will follow the path of the Soviet system, during the time of the Reagan administration. [2] (http://www.faithfreedom.org/oped/sina30420.htm) More recently though, he has expressed a loss of faith in this implosion prophecy, and now believes that Islam will most likely have to be rooted out like Nazism was in the 1940s. Although Ali Sina admits to having a doctoral degree, he avoids mentioning it because his degree is not in the field of religious studies, upon which most of his writings expound. He prefers to be known as Mr. Ali Sina or just Ali Sina. [5] (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sitaram/message/1295)

A fairly comprehensive list of all Mr. Sina's published essays and editorials can be found at http://www.faithfreedom.org/Author/Sina.htm

Traffic ranking for the website Mr. Sina owns and operates has fluxuated since its inception in June of 2001 [6] (http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?&range=2y&size=medium&compare_sites=&y=t&url=faithfreedom.org#top). In early 2003, according to the online source Alexa.com, it was in the top 10,000 sites on the internet. Currently it is in the top 50,000.
