It stars Bette Davis, Charles Boyer, Barbara O'Neil, Jeffrey Lynn, Virginia Weidler, Helen Westley, Walter Hampden, Henry Daniell, Harry Davenport, George Coulouris, Montagu Love, Janet Beecher and June Lockhart

The film was adapted by Casey Robinson from the novel by Rachel Field. It was directed by Anatole Litvak.

The movie was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. O'Neil was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
