Amstel is the river in the Netherlands from which Amsterdam took its name.
Amstel is also beer produced nearby.
Amstel light has full flavor, low carbohydrates and low calories (according to the label on the front). Our taste tester reports that it is : "very average". There is really nothing to exciting to say about the beer, it is unsurprisingly, brewed in Holland, by Amstel Brouwerij B.V., Amsterdam, Holland.
It can be purchased at most midwestern grocery stores in the United States.
