Anatoliy Kinakh (born August 4, 1954) was a candidate in the 2004 Ukrainian presidential election, nominated by the Party of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs of Ukraine, which he has chaired since 2000.
A particular feature of his election program is a pro-Ukrainian choice in foreign policy, saying that entry to the European Union should not be a barrier to the development of relationships with all CIS countries as well as with Russia.
From 1995 to 1996 he was a minister responsible for industrial politics.
Commonly known as an indecisive, but competent, technocrat, Mr. Kinah served as the Prime Minister of Ukraine between 2001 and 2002, when he was unexpectedly dismissed by President Kuchma
In 2002, he was elected a National deputy of Ukraine, on the list of the electoral bloc of parties "For United Ukraine!".
