Andrew Cole (born 15 October 1971) is an English footballer. He was born in Nottingham. He currently plays for Fulham. He previously played for Arsenal, Fulham (in an earlier spell), Bristol City, Newcastle, Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers. His £8 million move from Newcastle to Manchester United in early 1995 made him the most expensive English footballer ever at that time, although this has since been superceded by several players. During the 1992-93 season at Newcastle, his goals helped to earn the team promotion back to the top flight of English football, and in 1993-4 he was the top scorer in the Premier League. After moving to Manchester United, he earned winner's medals in the Premier League five times (1995-96, 1996-97, 1998-99, 1999-2000 and 2000-01), the FA Cup twice (1995-96 and 1998-99) and the UEFA Champions League once (1999). In 2001-02 he won the League Cup with his new team Blackburn, completing his collection of winner's medals for every major domestic honour in the English game. In July 2004, he returned to Fulham on a free transfer, after having had several disagreements with Blackburn manager Graeme Souness. Despite first being capped for England in 1995, he had earned only 15 caps by the time he announced his retirement from international football after failing to be selected for the World Cup squad in 2002. He scored only 1 goal for England, in a World Cup qualifying match against Albania in March 2001. Clubs:
