Anhydrous - Definition and Overview |

Liquids and solids (powders) are anhydrous if they are without water, i.e., dry. They are sold as anhydrous when they have been processed to remove water from the end product.
A hydrate is referred to as anhydrous if the water is eliminated from its structure.
