Anne Picking (born March 30, 1958) is a Scottish politician and current member of Parliament. Picking, a Labour Party member for East Lothian, was first elected in July 2001 with 47.61 percent of the vote.
Picking was born Anne Moffat, of the well-known Moffat family of East Lothian and Fife. She attended Woodmill High School, and was a nurse for 15 years in Kent. Picking was a Councillor in Ashford from 1996 to 2000 and has been a member of the National Executive Committee, Modernisation Select Committee, and Member Accommodation and Works Committee. Pikling is also a member of UNISON and the Trades Union Congress's General Purposes Committee.
She has one son.
