Anorankh - Definition and Overview

An anorankh is a pseudo-mystical symbol, consisting of an ankh wearing an anorak. It stems from a discussion on a newsgroup of Pratchett-fans, where one user mistakenly used the word 'anorak' to refer to the Egyptian symbol of life. A series of puns ensued, which was eventually joined by Pratchett himself. Since then, a company has started manufacturing silver and pewter anorankh necklaces and earrings, and they have become an unofficial symbol of Pratchett-fandom.
