Another Brick in the Wall was a 1979 single by Pink Floyd that also appeared on their 1979 concept album, The Wall. On The Wall, the song is broken up into three separate pieces ("part one", "part two", and "part three").
In 1980, the song was adopted as a protest anthem by black students during the Elsie's River uprising in South Africa protesting the racial propaganda and bias in the official curriculum.
Part Two is one of Pink Floyd's best known, with its distinctive performance of the chorus by 23 London schoolchildren (which was dubbed over 12 times to fool the listener to thinking more children sang). In 2004, a former Islington Green School student began taking action to recover unpaid royalties due to him for performances of the song.
