Apollo class starship - Definition and Overview

A non-canon hypothetical design for the Apollo class starship.

The Apollo class starship is a conjectural type of starship from the Star Trek fictional universe. It is believed by some fans that the Apollo class is a reduced-size counterpart to the Ambassador class, similar to the relationship of the Miranda class to the Constitution class or of the Nebula class to the Galaxy class.

List of known Apollo class ships

• USS Agamemnon (NCC-11638)
  • Named for the mythological Greek king who commanded the Greek forces in the Trojan War. Served in the tachyon blockade during the Klingon Civil War in 2368.
• USS Ajax (NCC-11574)
  • Named for one or both of two heroes named Ajax who fought in the Trojan War. Tested an experimental warp drive technology in 2364. Served in the tachyon blockade in the Klingon Civil War in 2368.
• USS Apollo (Registry unknown)
  • The pathfinder of its class.
• USS Clement (NCC-12537)
  • Scheduled to rendezvous with the Enterprise-D in 2370.
• USS Gage (NCC-11672)
  • Destroyed by the Borg at the Battle of Wolf 359 in 2367.
