Arthur Kane (February 3, 1951 - July 13, 2004) played in the band Actress as a bassist. This later led to the legendary band, the New York Dolls. His nickname was Arthur "Killer" Kane.

Later in his life, Kane sought out a higher level of spirituality, eventually becoming an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ("Mormons") [1] (http://www.lds.org). A film, New York Doll[2] (http://www.filmthreat.com/Reviews.asp?Id=6819), exploring the change in Kane's life and a band reunion organized by the British rocker Morrissey, premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. He died of complications related to leukemia (which he didn't know he had).

Arthur Kane briefly cooperated with Blackie Lawless from WASP in a band called Killer Kane (Single "Mr. Cool").
