Asa Dotzler is best known for his work on Mozilla. He started work in Mountain View, Santa Clara County, California on the Mozilla web browser as an employee of Netscape Communications Corporation division of AOL/Time Warner in May 2000 after working on Mozilla as a volunteer for over a year while living in Austin, Texas. When AOL shut down the Netscape browser unit in July 2003, Dotzler carried on working for the Mozilla Foundation which released Mozilla Firefox 1.0 web browser in November 2004 and Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0, a free cross-platform email and news client in December 2004.
