Asakiyumemishi: Genji Monogatari (あさきゆめみし) is a Japanese manga version of the Tale of Genji by Yamato Waki, a Japanese cartoonist. It follows the nearly same plot with some modern adaptation. It was originally published from 1980 to 1993. It spanned thirteen volumes and was partially translated into Japanese by Kodansha in their attempts to publish bilingual manga as a study guide for Japanese students. The first ten volumes focus on Genji and his life, the final three volumes follow two princes after Genji's death.
The name comes from the famous poem in the Tale of Genji.
