Aspirator - Definition and Overview

An aspirator is a common piece of laboratory equipment. It provides a strong suction without needing electricity. The aspirator fits over a faucet and has a hose barb on one side. When water flows through the aspirator, gas will get sucked in through the hose barb. It is cheap to manufacture, and to operate.
