Asvaghosa (80-150 AD?) was an Indian philosopher-poet. He is believed to have been the first Sanskrit dramatist, and is considered the greatest Indian poet before Kalidasa.
Works attributed to Asvaghosa include the Buddhacarita (Life of the Buddha) and the Mahalankara (Book of Glory).
