Athens Wireless Metropolitan Network is a non-profit organization based in Athens, Greece. AWMN has developed a metropolitan area network, which at the moment has 206 active nodes, using 802.11b wireless technology.

Its aims include:

• The development and use of community wireless network throughout Athens.
• The development of wireless technology.
• Educating on the use of wireless networks.
• Making the public aware of wireless networks and their use.
