Baoding (保定; pinyin: Bǎodìng) is a prefecture-level city in Hebei province, China

History

Baoding is a city with a history dating back to the Western Han Dynasty. It was the capital of Hebei until 1958.

Baoding is nearly halfway from Beijing to Shijiazhuang on the Jingshi Expressway and is the western terminus of the Baojin Expressway to Tianjin.
