Bar Harbor, Maine is a famous resort and upper-class enclave in the Down East region of Maine in the United States. Technically a town, Bar Harbor lies close to the city of Ellsworth, Maine. Discovered in 1796, Bar Harbor was originally named Eden (changed to Bar Harbor 3/5/1918). Bar Harbor's neighbor is Acadia National Park. Bar Harbor plays host each year to The Warblers and Wildflowers Festival at the end of May. It is a celebration that celebrates beauty of Bar Harbor’s nature and scenery.
