Barking station - Definition and Overview

Barking station is a London Underground and National Rail station located in Barking served by District and Hammersmith & City lines and also by c2c and Silverlink train services.

The station was opened in 1854 by the London Tilbury & Southend Railway and the electrified District Line service reached Barking in 1908. The station is in Zone 4 and is managed by c2c.
