Barney Oldfield - Definition and Overview

Barney Oldfield (June 3, 1878-October 4, 1946) was an automobile racer and pioneer; born in a farmhouse on the outskirts of Wauseon, Ohio. His accomplishments led to the expression "Who Do You Think You Are? Barney Oldfield?"

On his passing, he was interred in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California.

In 1990, he was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame.

Mentioned in Doc Savage, the movie. 'Clark "Doc" Savage Jr.: Do a Barney Oldfield, Long Tom. '
