Baruch son of Neriah

Baruch son of Neriah was the scribe of the prophet Jeremiah. See Jer [4] (http://www.mechon-mamre.org/e/et/et1145.htm), [5] (http://www.mechon-mamre.org/e/et/et1136.htm).

In Christianity

The deuterocanonical Book of Baruch (considered by the Jews and most of the Protestants to be apocryphal) contains a work written by Baruch, the prophet, in Babylon, in the fifth year after the destruction of Jerusalem by the Chaldeans.

The Apocalypse of Baruch is a separate work from the Book of Baruch, also written by Baruch.

He is said to have gone with Jeremiah to Egypt. Legend says that he died in Spain.
