Beta 3

Version 0.3 was released in July 2004, initially only to Gamespy members. The pre-release made it easier to correct bugs before a wide-spread release as there was only one file distributor (Gamespy) to deal with in case a patch needed to be done. Gamespy also offered some extra publicity to the mods release and provided servers during the pre-release, among other benefits. The general BF:P community was forced wait longer to gain access to the release however, one week. The public release of 'Beta3' was one July 21, 2004.
