The Beetle is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe. Abner Jenkins was a skilled factory mechanic, who later built a battle suit to become a master thief and dubbed himself the Beetle. After many failed attempts against various Marvel heroes , Jenkins quit his supervilliany ways.... or assumingly so. When the new superhero called team Thunderbolts appeared after the aftermath of Onslaught. (in which many superheroes where assumed dead) It was later revealed that the Thunderbolts were posing as superheroes, they were the the Masters of Evil in disguise, in which Abner posed as a superhero called Mach-1. But like many of the members, Abner shed their Masters of Evil connections, and turned into a superhero afterall.
