Belaya (Белая) is the name of several rivers in Russia: In Siberia: Bolshaya Belaya (Большая Белая (Big Belaya) in Russian), a river in the Irkutsk Oblast and Buryatia in Russia, a tributary of the Angara River, which flows into the Bratsky Reservoir. Its length is 359 km. The area of its basin is 18,000 sq km. Principal tributaries: Urik and Malaya Belaya. The Belaya River freezes up in October-November and stays under the ice until April-May. There are nephrite and graphite deposits in the Belaya basin. In the western Ural: a tributary to the Kama River, flowing through Bashkortostan. The city Ufa is located at the confluence of the rivers Belaya and Ufa.
