Bellman Bellman

Bellman - Definition and Overview

In Lewis Carroll's poem The Hunting of the Snark, the Bellman is the leader of the Snark hunting trip. He is a fine speaker, a handsome and inspiring man, but a rather poor sailor.

This was charming, no doubt: but they shortly found out

That the Captain they trusted so well

Had only one notion for crossing the ocean,

And that was to tinkle his bell.

A bellman can also be a name for a bellhop.

In relation with Reinforcement_learning, the Bellman equation expresses the value function in relation with an observation of itself and the reward.
