Benedictine College is a university in Atchison, Kansas. It is a catholic, residential, liberal arts, Benedictine college and is located on bluffs overlooking the Missouri River.
Undergraduate programs include Astronomy, Philosophy, Music, Biology, Computer Science and Physics. Masters degree programs in education and business.
Its predecessors were the Mount St. Scholastica Academy and St. Benedict's. They merged in 1971.
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate Wangari Maathai studied in the Academy from 1960 to 1964.
