The Beretta 92SB Compact is a semi-automatic pistol designed and manufactured by Beretta.
History
First appearing in 1981, the Beretta 92SB Compact model came into being on demand of police users.
Specifications
Somewhat more compact than the Beretta 92SB the main design goal was to produce a pistol that was easier to carry concealed for police forces.
Intended market
The Beretta 92SB Compact was a law enforcement pistol, but it was also sold to the civilian market for self-defense.
Design advantages
The Beretta 92SB Compact maintained all the good handling and safety qualities of the Beretta 92SB while being somewhat more compact.
Limitations
Like all Beretta 92 pistols it suffers from the same limitations in harsh environments.
