Bergelmir - Definition and Overview

In Norse mythology, Bergelmir was a son of Thrudgelmir. He and his wife were the only frost giants to survive the deluge of Bergelmir's grandfather's (Ymir) blood. They crawled into a hollow tree trunk and survived, then founded a new race of frost giants.
