Bethany College is a small liberal arts college located in Lindsborg, Kansas. Founded in 1881 as a preparatory academy, the college has grown to an enrollment of 620 and offers programs in education, the sciences and pre-professional areas. The school is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It bosts a strong Swedish heritage.

One famous tradition at Bethany is performing Handel's Messiah each year, an event that dates back to 1903.
