Bev Harris - Definition and Overview

Bev Harris is an activist and writer who has led the charge against Diebold electronic voting systems in the United States. Her book, Black Box Voting: Ballot Tampering in the 21st Century, was published by Talion Publishing in March 2004 (ISBN 1890916900). She is a frequent guest on political commentary sites BuzzFlash and WorkingForChange. She is also the co-owner of Talion, Inc., a publishing and public relations firm for several prominent authors of books that claim President George W. Bush had advanced knowledge of the September 11 attacks.

Harris has offered her own plan for election reform: she believes each vote should be hand-counted in the presence of observers. Her feeling is that this could be accomplished in a reasonable amount of time through the use of high-speed scanners.
