Bizen, Okayama - Definition and Overview

Bizen (備前市; -shi) is a city located in Okayama, Japan. The city is particularly famous for its Bizen-yaki pottery.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 28,030 and the density of 209.71 persons per km². The total area is 133.66 km².

The city was founded on April 1, 1971.
