Although the band was formed in Colombia, The Black Cat Bone does not perform in Spanish language. Borrowing from the blues, country and rock influences from several years of listening to american traditional music, The Black Cat Bone wants to be considered as an international rock'n roll band without being labeled as what the media knows for "latin" which is always related to tropical music. However, The Black Cat Bone experiments with other influences from latin america, like andean music and other types of traditional music totally different from the caribbean sounds.
