Bloodplay is the BDSM practice of cutting or inflicting injury onto a consensual partner in order to cause the person to bleed (e.g. with razors, knives, safety pins). The blood is often licked, or ingested.
Bloodplay is considered edgeplay due to its nature of being able to easily spread diseases such as HIV. It is also possible to cut the person too deeply and cause them to bleed excessively.
