Bloor (GO Transit) - Definition and Overview

Bloor GO Station is a GO Transit train station along the Georgetownrail corridor. It is located at 1456 Bloor St. West (between Landsdowne and Dundas Street West) and it provides a connection to the TTC at Dundas West subway station on the Bloor-Danforth line.

There is a pair of tracks that serve this station with one platform to serve each track (South-Eastbound and Norht-Westbound), although there is another pair of tracks running west of the station, however those tracks lead to the CP East-West corridor, turning west at the West Toronto Diamond, just north of Bloor Station and it's also used by GO Transit for their Milton commuter rail line.

Like many of the other GO Train stations, this station is equipped with a ticket sales building, instead of completely relying on just the Ticket Vending Machines (TVM) at Centennial and York University train stations. In addition this is just one of the few stations, that does not provide any car parking.

Although it has a connection with TTC's Dundas West Station, but unlike Kipling, Kennedy and Union; it requires the commuter to leave the TTC property in order to transfer GO Transit services (vice-versa). However there have been proposals to build a pedestrian tunnel linking between the two systems, but the funding to build the link has been disputed, especially since the Mike Harris's Conservative government was in place.
