Blue Horde was one of descendat states which formed around 1227 as the Mongol Empire desintegrated. Initially it covered Eastern part of the territory ruled by Jochi - West of Central Asia and South-Western Siberia. The first khan of Blue Horde was Batu Khan, son of Jochi. The capital was Saray. Another possible settlement was at or near contemporary Tyumen.
After a period of anarchy in 1357 - 1380 it was annexed by White Horde. The combined state became Golden Horde.
