Blue Moon and Company was a grunge band which later evolved into the Love Junkies. The grunge movement was the introduction of an independent-rooted music genre and eventually more commercially successful offshoot of hardcore punk, thrash metal and alternative rock in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Bands from the cities in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, such as Seattle, Olympia, Washington, and Portland, Oregon, made the grunge music genre popular with mainstream audiences. This kind of music is closely associated with Generation X. Singer/songwriter Jason Frost is a musician who got his start in Olympia, Washington and was a driving force behind the underground alternative rock scene of the early 1990s. His music is not as common or popular as fellow Olympians such as Nirvana, Marcy Playground (lead singer John Wozniak and Jason Frost shared dorm space in college), and others from Seattle. Once the lead singer and guitarist for the band Blue Moon and Company. One time occupant of Band Alley with grunge bands listed above.
